Nadia + Corey: A Cozy Cabin Winter Elopement

Nadia + Corey made the decision to celebrate their 8th anniversary together a little extra special by running away to the mountains to get eloped in this cozy a-frame cabin in Colorado Springs.

The couple invited me over the night before to celebrate with them and get some photos of them writing out their vows in the books and finishing up the last evening as fiancés in the cabin’s on-site private hot tub.

I started out the next morning by getting flat lay photos of all the details that they had put together from their jewelry, accessories, perfume, vow books, and rings.

After breakfast, the couple had a cup of hot tea cuddled up outside in a traditional Mexican blanket with their custom-made mugs while the snow came falling down. Not long after that, they are accompanied by some friendly deer, a mama and her baby. They were even able to reach out towards them and touch mama’s nose before went along her way into the winter wonderland.

Afterwards, we continued our photo session upstairs in the a-frame cabin’s lofted bedroom. Corey may or may not know how to have a gentle pillow fight, so Nadia may have had to make sure to wack the crap back out of him.

The couples spent some time apart getting ready, guys never take as long so Corey spent most of his time playing Mario cart on his switch then got his stuff all together during the last 20 minutes of Nadia’s time getting ready.

The couple stepped right outside the cabin during the active snow fall to do their first look and then traveled to Garden of the Gods to hold a private ceremony on a trail which overlooked the garden.

After the ceremony, we went back to the air bnb to cut the cake, sign the marriage license, and have a well orchestrated charcuterie board. Their night ended with a champagne pop outside after dark!
