Denver Courthouse Elopement

This courthouse elopement is what started it all for me and all the work I started generating in the city. This work is what people usually find on Pinterest, and what has drawn people even from out of state to come and elope in the beautiful state of Colorado, and to work with me specifically as their photographer.

Their ceremony, which took place in the Colorado State capitol, was an intimate setting between two witnesses and a pastor to officiate, who they also had a personal relationship with. The couple was able to rent out the state capitol for one hour after closing, however, they no longer offer this option and anyone who now wants to elope within the premises will have to do it during regular business hours with the general public. With that being said, I would not recommend holding the ceremony on the staircase to avoid anyone interrupting an intimate moment, however, I do still come work at the capitol often. It is rarely ever busy and it is very easy to capture portraits even during regular hours.

The Colorado State capitol allows a space to give upscale, timeless photos as the architecture is really one of a kind, being built in the 1980s. Our state does not have a lot of buildings with this same type of styling, so it makes this setting a very unique experience.
