Paint Mines Interpretive Park
Dominick + Kalin decided to do a fun and adventurous session at the Colorado paint mines interpretive park to celebrate their one year of marriage!
The paint mines is roughly outside of Colorado Springs, so it can be a little bit of drive from Denver but it is absolutely worth it for some unique views.
The photography permit for this beautiful park is $100, so just be sure to remember that as a factor towards cost when hiring a photographer for photos at this location. It is fairly popular, but no entrance fees and just a small lot.
I highly recommend going on a weekday rather than weekends, as most people in Colorado like to go hiking and exploring on their days off. I would also highly recommend only going for sunrise or sunset, unless the day is overcast. There are absolutely no spots for coverage from the sun to avoid harsh lighting on the face, so either one of these times of the day would be perfect for good light and good photos!
