The Oaks Spring Wedding
Janine + Dylan had their beautiful April wedding at The Oaks at plum creek in Castle Rock, Colorado. The majority of their party guests had traveled, as neither of them were from Colorado— most of which coming from the bride’s home country of Germany! The couple loved the little speakeasy bar vibe with the pool table, so we made sure the utilize that space for some editorial style type shots! The couple had an emotional moment meeting each other for the first time down the aisle, opting to not do a first look. The groom teared up both as his bride was walking towards him and again as the couple was walking away for the first time as husband and wife. It was extremely important for them to have these candid moments captured in a documentary style while still having lots of direction from their photographer during the posed portion, which I provided to them. The rest of their night and reception was focused around dancing, community, and being together for probably one of the only times as both these families live entirely across the world from each other. The couple was provided with lots of candid shots of their guests enjoying their time together.
