Moody Mountain Maternity Session

Ana and Artem got a moody maternity session, just like this mama-to-be wanted!! We scheduled something last minute once we noticed that the mountains were covered in a heavy fog and made our way up to the Evergreen and Idaho Springs area. We made random stops along the way up to Echo Lake in the foggy woods. At one point we reached being above the cloud line and were able to get these incredible, on-top-of-the-world type of shots of this future mom and dad. Being 8 months pregnant and enduring freezing temperatures is not the easiest, but Ana absolutely killed it, even braving going on top of the frozen lake!

I never thought a winter, snowy session could end up giving such a dark and moody type of vibe, but we accomplished exactly what Ana envisioned! Cannot wait for their baby boy to be here in April!
