Snowy Historic Mountain Town Engagement Session

Chelsea + Alex and I actually accidentally stumbled upon this location due to the weather and crazy traffic up to their original location idea. We had planned on meeting at Georgetown’s lake for some photos, regardless, but when traffic to their next spot built up to 2.5 hours, we collectively made the decision to take the rest of their engagement to the historic mountain town of Georgetown.

The couple and their two furry children adventured around Georgetown’s lake, historic downtown, and then headed a little ways up Guanella Pass.

With the snow falling, their entire engagement session was screaming Hallmark Christmas movie vibes and we loved every second of it.

If you are looking to do a session similar to this, I highly recommend planning on doing it in late December or early January, since that is when snow is typically at its best in Colorado. Please be aware of the traffic situation, especially on weekends, the ski and snowboarders are all trying to make their way up to the mountains to enjoy it. Accidents happen very frequently on I-70 at this time of year, so be prepared and expect delays.
